Genesee Land Trust Announces New Treasurer
Mike Kehoe of Pittsford was recently elected treasurer of Genesee
Land Trust where he will also serve on the Finance and Steering
Committees. Kehoe, who was raised in Greece, with degrees from St.
John Fisher College and the University of Rochester’s Simon
School of Business, was employed by Mobil Chemical Company for 21
years. His accounting and financial management positions for the
company took him to New York, Houston as well as the Rochester area.
More recently he joined Nixon Peabody in Rochester, as director
of finance and served for 14 years until his retirement in 2001.
Additionally Kehoe was president of the Rochester Chapter of The
Financial Executives International and has done much volunteer work
for LifeSpan where he counseled elders on personal finance and Medicare.
He is also a member of the finance counsel of his church and volunteered
with the Pittsford Trails project a few years ago. Kehoe says, “I
have always had an interest in preserving and enhancing the beautiful
lands we have here in Upstate NY and am very pleased that I have
been offered the opportunity to be of service to Genesee Land Trust.”
Kehoe will serve as treasurer of the land conservation organization
for the 2006-2007 term of office. Gay Mills is executive director.
Genesee Land Trust currently protects 2500 acres in Greater Rochester.
