WALK RUN FOR GENESEE LAND TRUST ON SATURDAY NOV 11
On Saturday, November 11th between 10 and 2pm look for the Genesee
Land Trust banner along Blossom Road at Ellison Park for the WALK
RUN fundraiser. This event, with all proceeds supporting the conservation
efforts of the Trust, was first conceived by then 16 year old Land
Trust volunteer, Casia Moffatt, in 2005. This year Casie, of Rochester,
joins Jennifer Cumbo, of West Irondquoit and other teens from Penfield,
Honeoye Falls and Rush, in running the Indian Landing Trail at Ellison
Park. Participants will be asking for pledges of $2.00 per mile
and hope that many miles will be run. The public is invited to participate
by either sponsoring one of the students or themselves on November
11th! This is a great way to burn calories, enjoy the last days
of autumn and give to a great cause. Call Genesee Land Trust at
256-2130 for more information. You do not need to register to participate.
The Trust, led by teen volunteers, invites all to join in the fun
on Saturday, November 11th from 10 to 2pm at Ellison Park.
