Land Trust Elects
Local Farm to its Board of Directors
Genesee
Land Trust has announced the election of Mr. Bill Steimer to its
2007-2008 board of directors. Steimer, a live-long resident of Scottsville
and graduate of Alfred State College, was employed by Eastman Kodak
for 28 years. A farmer, with 130 acres, Steimer and his family produce
alfalfa-timothy hay and winter wheat. Steimer serves on the Town
of Chili Conservation Board , the Cornell Cooperative Extension,
the Farm Bureau, the Monroe Co., Soil & Water Conservation District
and the American Farmland Trust. At Genesee Land Trust, Steimer
will be a member of the Land Protection Committee.
Genesee
Land Trust is the Rochester
region’s local land trust protecting over 2500 acres.
It was founded in 1989 by area residents and its executive director
is Gay Mills.
