Work Party at Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve: Saturday, September 29, 9 a.m. to Noon. Work to be done includes bluebird box installation, sign posting, and trail maintenance. Volunteers should meet at the Preserve’s Victor Road entrance and wear long pants/sleeves, sturdy shoes and work gloves. Directions: From Route 490 East take Exit #26 – Pittsford/Palmyra Road (Rt. 31) toward Route 31 East. Continue on Route 31 for over 6 miles. Turn right onto Canandaigua Road. Turn right at the stop sign onto Victor Road. At the fork in the road, bear right to remain on Victor Road. The preserve entrance sign will be on the right side of the road. Please park on the shoulder of Victor Road. 

Work Party at Brookdale Preserve: Saturday, October 6, Time 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please check www.geneseelandtrust.org/events.html for the time. Work to be done includes trail building and clearing of brush. Due to the dense vegetation and wet nature of the preserve, please wear waterproof boots (or shoes that can get wet) and long pants. Volunteers will meet at the Genesee Greenway parking lot on Brook Road. Directions: From the intersection of Rte. 252 ( Jefferson Road ) and Rte. 353 ( Scottsville Road ) in Chili, go south on Rte. 353, turn right (west) on Brook Road . Parking lot will be on right.

Work Party at Kraai Preserve: Saturday, October 13, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Work to be done includes trail building, mulching of the trail, and installing a small culvert/bridge.. Possible poison ivy in work area, so please wear long pants/sleeves and work gloves would also be a good idea. Also, any shovels, handsaws or other gardening tools would be helpful. Directions: Travel east on Rte. 31 into the City of Newark.  At the intersection with Rte. 88 turn left (north).  Follow Rte. 88 north for about a mile.  Turn right onto Welcher Road. Norsen Road will be on the left approximately 2 miles north on Welcher Road intersecting at a sharp right bend in the road. Follow Norsen Rd. to its end and park along the guard rail.
