Kudos, Cheers and Thumbs UP to Genesee Land Trust Volunteers Who Raised $8600 at the Backyard Habitat Tour.
Congratulations to 28 volunteers of Genesee Land Trust who braved the rain on June 20th’s Backyard Habitat Tour! Their commitment to the land preservation organization showed proudly as they prepared for the tour and greeted at the gardens. Great thanks also to the people who shared their gardens: Andrea Billin and Allan Sowinski, Sara and Al Rubin, and Cenie Cafarelli of Brighton; John and Erica Colagrosso and Diane and Chuck Henderson of Henrietta; Jed and Peggy Fox of Pittsford and Marlene and Anthony Terpolilli of Fairport. Their generosity and expertise was outstanding. Genesee Land Trust is most grateful to its sponsors, and to those who attended and supported this fundraiser. Over $8600 dollars were raised to support the conservation efforts of the non-profit, Genesee Land Trust.
Genesee Land Trust is the Rochester area’s local land trust founded in 1989. It currently protects over 3200 acres. Gay Mills is executive director.
