Backyard Habitat Tour
2005
On June 18th, 2005, wildlife habitat enthusiasts took the 3rd
Annual Backyard Habitat Tour - an important fundraiser for Genesee
Land Trust. This year's event included a portion of the Neal and
Ann McNabb property in Mendon, protected through a GLT conservation
easement -- a wooded paradise! In addition, tour-goers enjoyed:
the nationally certified habitat gardens of Sara Rubin of Sunset
Drive and Chris Young of Adrian Road; the Brighton St. gardens of
Teddy Carr, Joseph de Vita and Richard Burger and John Lynd -- all
hidden treasures in the heart of the Park Avenue Section; the Culver
Road English cottage garden of Cheryl and Bruce Crane; the lush
suburban backyard retreat of Suzanne and Andy Wheatcraft and the
Children's Habitat Garden at Durand Eastman School -- a habitat
garden in progress!
