FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Genesee Land Trust presents “Native Plants, Wildlife And
Your Backyard” – a lecture by Jim Engel, Landscaper
and Native Plant Expert: Tuesday, March 1st from 7 – 9PM at
the Ruth Braman Room of the Penfield Library at 1985 Baird Road
in Penfield. Proprietor of White Oak Nursery, Engels believes that
“… our plants should not only delight and beautify but
also serve their age old function of providing food and shelter
for native wildlife.” Jim Engels, who has been in the business
of propagating and growing over 80 species of native shade trees
and native flowering shrubs since 1995, will introduce these beautiful
and functional plants and explain how to integrate native plants
into your own backyard. He’ll explain different ways to landscape
a typical back yard to create habitat for wildlife. This slide presentation
and lecture is presented by The Genesee Land Trust. Please visit
