Join Genesee River Alliance and Jim Farr, longtime Charlotte resident and Rochester Public Market Director, for the next mile walk at Ontario Beach Park. We'll take a guided tour of the park starting at the Port of Rochester. Learn about historic sites such as the 40-foot lighthouse built in 1822 and "The Duchess," an original Dentzel Carousel.
This is a guided family-friendly walk. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us. Strollers and pets are also welcomed. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. There are two start times available at 10am and 11:30am. Each walk is 60 minutes, and there are 20 spots per tour. Parking is available in the parking lot at the Port of Rochester. Pre-registration required. We’ll meet in the lobby of the Port Terminal Building at 1000 N. River St., Rochester NY 14612.
