A series of 3 guided strolls for developing leaders, their friends and family

hosted by Genesee Land Trust board members and staff.

Join us to connect with each other and learn about the community conservation efforts happening in greater Rochester.

Saturday, October 8 - El Camino Trail

9:30-11 am, meet at 92 Conkey Ave Rochester

Board members Miguel Melendez and Victor Sanchez will share the history of the trail, the art murals, and how the land trust's 20+ years working with the community has helped the neighborhood. The trail is ADA accessible.

Bagels & coffee will be available.

Sunday, October 16 - Turning Point Park

1-2:30 pm, meet at 398 Boxart St. Rochester

Board member Josh Sankowski and Genesee River Alliance Coordinator Helen Dumas will introduce you to the Genesee River Alliance - a land trust project to increase community engagement with the waterway and advocate for the river as a resource. The trail is ADA accessible.

Saturday, October 22 - Gosnell Big Woods

9:30-11 am, meet at 674 Vosburg Rd. Webster

Board members Simeon Banister and Victor Sanchez will guide you through a beautiful piece of land, protected forever from development. Learn about the natural habitat, and what the land trust is working to protect right now.

Donuts & coffee will be available.

Genesee Land Trust, founded in 1989, preserves and protects natural lands and waterways in the Greater Rochester region – conserving wildlife habitat, mitigating climate change, securing locally grown food, and offering connections to nature – for everyone. A  non-profit, Genesee Land Trust serves Monroe and Wayne Counties and portions of adjacent counties. This region is a mix of urban, suburban and rural communities.
