Wellness Walk

  • Cornwall Preserve 3975 Lake Rd Williamson, NY, 14589 United States (map)

Experience nature in a new way with the practices of Shinrin-Yoku or Forest Bathing. Heidi Knapp will lead a walk, including activities along the way, to introduce different meditation techniques to foster mindfulness in nature and everyday life. Learn how to walk like a fox, see like an owl, and hear like a deer. Engage your senses at this lakeside preserve.

You may wish to bring a water bottle or a light day pack to carry belongings. Wear comfortable clothing; we will walk through open meadow and lakeside trails. You may wish to wear light sneakers; hiking boots are not necessary. You will have the opportunity to experiment with walking barefoot if you wish.

This terrain is rated easy to moderate. Please note there is no public restroom. We’re happy to offer this introduction to forest bathing at no cost. Donations are accepted and appreciated to support Genesee Land Trust and Outer Edge Travel’s scholarship program.

Please call 585-256-2130 or email info@geneseelandtrust.org with any questions.
