Description: Adjacent to Genesee Land Trust’s Island Cottage Woods Preserve, this three-acre wooded parcel connects the existing 61-acre Island Cottage Woods Preserve and the property known as Schaller’s Woods. These lands are important migratory bird habitat, giving birds areas to rest and food sources to sustain them on their long journeys each spring and fall.
History: This conservation easement was originally donated to The Nature Conservancy, then transferred to Genesee Land Trust in 2002.
